Nope, neither Rhinopias nor scorpionfish. Here's a hint - the photograph shows the feature for which the fish is named, but its not its best feature!

Bingo! Yes I was, and inspired I was too, weren't you? Yes, the sarcastic fringehead, one of the better animal names out there.
It strikes me as amazing that with a mouth like that, its a couple of little tufts on the head that give it its name.
