Sardine recipes

I was recently told that I ought to try sardines, but I have no idea how to prepare them. Does anyone have ideas for canned sardines that I could try?

Never made this, but I enjoy all his other recipes.

I agree, he does great work. I made a cold tomato and basil soup of his once that was just killer. Made me realise that I usually use way too much stock in my soups.
Sardines - so little and so many choices. First, for canned, I'd start with packed in oil. The fish will vary greatly based on the packer and the packing process.
They are great:
1. chopped in a fresh pasta topping with tomatoes, red onions, and capers
2. mixed with fresh pesto
3. As part of an antipasta with roasted peppers, roasted asparagus, artichoke hearts, and sundried tomatoes all drizzled with lemon and enjoyed with good wine and crusty bread.
I tried the the Jamie Oliver recipe. It was OK. Judy's sound more my style. Anything with wine and crusty bread works for me!

Ha! I had no idea what you were talking about Jonny, until I looked at your profile. Now THAT is what I call a niche blog!
I eat them straight out of the can on crackers, great when hiking! A hearty cracker like Stoned Wheat is best.
